Help us build a new classroom for the Joseph DeRaymond School in La Loma!
La Loma Construction Work Brigade ♦ February 5th-12th, 2011
Program includes:
Analysis of the current situation in El Salvador, visit CIS and Romero Community in Tonacatepeque, 5 days in La Loma living with families and assisting the community in construction of the new classroom.
Physical Requirements:
Physically able to hike 3 km uphill in the hot sun, accustomed to rustic lodging and limited access to running water. Ability and willingness to do hard work.
Arrival/Departure:
Try to book flights arriving midday on February 5th, and departing anytime on February 12th.
Cost:
$450/person – includes in-country lodging, transportation, and all meals. Does not include airfare.
Limited space:

Accompany the CIS for the Commemoration of Romero’s 31st Anniversary!
31st Anniversary Romero Delegation ♦ March 18—27, 2011
Program includes:
Participation in the activities to commemorate the anniversary of Monseñor Romero throughout the week, testimony of people who knew Romero, meetings with grassroots organizations working for economic justice. Visits to CIS sponsored economic alternative projects: artisan co-ops, coffee co-ops, and women´s micro-businesses.
Arrival/Departure:
Try to book flights arriving midday on March 18th, and departing midday on March 27th.
Cost:
$750/person – includes in-country lodging, transportation, and all meals. Does not include airfare.
Minimum Number of Participants:
We need a minimum of 4 participants to run this delegation.
